Quest Requirements

In The Lord of the Rings – The Heroes Middle-earth, the pace of early progression is closely linked with your ability to complete quest requests. This is especially important for f2p players and low-spenders who will have Gold and XP problems when they pass levels 35-40.

Completing Quests will grant:

  • Strider’s Shards
  • Gold – medium amounts (large for new players); 100k+
  • Character XP; 25k+
  • Ability Materials
  • Dark and Light Crystals
  • Various other benefits

Those boosts will be essential for making important power spikes that could give you a crucial advantage and progression compared to others on your Server Shard.

While taking notes on my main (Enfaire) I was negligent and trying to be as fast as possible. So, I only wrote down what are the requirements without awards, hoping that when the time comes, I will find what I need. I was so, so wrong…

It seems that all people only think if the game will live or if it will not live and if there is enough content and if they are bored and why they are bored and all the other irrelevant things for the content itself.

That is why I was forced to start the third account just so I can write down what I missed. In the meantime, those are the requirements you need to focus on in order to boost your progress while leveling (we are not even finished with leveling still, just for you to know).

Light Quests

Completion of each quest will give you Strider’s shards (except for the quest that will unlock Eomer). The first 7 Light quests grant approximately 450k Gold at least. Those are the requirements listed from the game start to the end:

  • 1st Light Quest – will be added soon
  • 2nd Light Quest – Clear Light Campaign 2-9; Unlock 5 Light characters; Clear Light Campaign 3-9
  • 3rd Light Quest – Clear Light Campaign 4-1; T3 with 5 Light characters; Clear Light Hard Campaign 2-9
  • 4th Light quest – 3 stars in Light Hard Campaign 3-9; Unlock 9 Light characters; Complete Mission 4-9;
  • 5th Light Quest – Clear Light Hard Campaign 3-9 (?!?); Improve 5 Light characters on 2*; Unlock 5 Rohan characters;
  • 6th Light Quest – Reach 3 stars with 5 Light characters; Reach Gear T5 with 5 Light Characters; Clear Light Hard Campaign 4-9;
  • 7th Light Quest – Reach 5* with 5 Characters (x5 Blue, Yellow, and Purple Ability Materials + 50000 XP); Complete Daily Objectives (x1 Light Crystal Fragment III), Clear Light Campaign 5-9 (x1 Shadow Crystal Fragment III)
  • 8th Light Quest – Complete Daily Objective 1 Time(s); Gear Tier 6 with 5 Light characters; Clear Light Hard Campaign 5-9

Shadow Quests

You will get Strider Shards for completing Shadow Quests as well. This is what you will need to do:

  • 1st Shadow Quest – Clear Shadow Campaign 1-1; Unlock 3 Shadow characters; Gear Tier 3 with 3 Shadow characters
  • 2nd Shadow Quest – Clear Shadow Hard Campaign 1-9; Clear Shadow Campaign 2-9; Gear Tier 4 with 5 Shadow characters;
  • 3rd Shadow Quest – Clear Shadow Hard Campaign 2-9; 2 stars with 5 Shadow characters; Clear Shadow Hard Campaign 3-9;
  • 4th Shadow Quest – Clear Shadow Campaign 4-9; Improve 5 Shadow characters on 3*; Unlock Robel;
  • 5th Shadow Quest – Reach 4* with 5 Shadow characters; Complete Daily Objective 1 Time(s), Complete Shadow Hard Campaign 4-9
  • 6th Shadow Quest – Reach Level 25 with 5 Shadow characters (x5 Blue, Yellow, and Purple Ability Materials + 50000 XP); Gear Tier 6 with 5 Shadow characters (x1 Shadow Crystal Fragment III), Complete Shadow Campaign 5-9 (x1 Light Crystal Fragment III)

Adventure Quests

At this moment the third Quest line is linked with Sam Gamgee Gardener’s Journey adventure. Upon completion, you will get Strider’s shards as usual along with Crystals and ability material. Completing Gardener’s Journey is really rewarding Crystal-wise, so all those suggestions that it is not worth it are simply not true.

I mean most people and CCs complain that there is not enough content and at the same time they advise you to not be prepared for one of the few available game features. Anyway, those are the requirements for fulfilling early Adventure quests:

  • 1st Adventure quest – Complete Sam’s Adventure Campaign; Clear 2-1-1 in the Gardeners Journey; Unlock Sam Gamgee
  • 2nd Adventure quest – Fight in Arena Battles (35k Gold); 25 Shards for Great Goblin (50x Blue Ability Material + 9 Dark Crystals); Complete Guild Campaign 1-7 (25x Yellow Ability Material + 9 Light Crystals)
  • 3rd Adventure quest – Fight in Arena Battles (35k Gold); 25 Shards for Great Goblin (50x Blue Ability Materials + 9 Dark Crystals); Complete Guild Campaign 1-7 (25x Yellow Ability Materials + 9 Light Crystals)
  • 4th Adventure quest – Unlock 10 Characters (200k Gold + 200x Blue Ability Material); Complete Guild Campaign 2-7 (60x Yellow Ability Material + 10 Dark Crystals); Unlock Great Goblin (10 Light Crystals)
  • 5th Adventure quest – Spend 5 million Gold (75k Gold); Spend 1000 Arena Coins(50x Blue Ability Materials + 5x Yellow Ability Materials); Spend 1000 Challenge Coins (10 Dark Crystals + 10 Light Crystals )

Conclusion

This is the initial version of the article with partial info. It will be updated and reworked as soon as I gather all the info. Remember, completing Quests grants you power spikes; Competing Quests are your only way of farming large amounts of gold while leveling if you don’t spend.

Quests are really important!
